Katten Muchin Rosenman Represents Tech Coast Angels in $1 Million +Series A-1 Funding of Make It Work, Inc.

LOS ANGELES - The law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is pleased to have served as legal counsel to Tech Coast Angels, the largest angel network in the United States and the number one source of early stage funding in Southern California, in its recent $1 million-plus Series A-1 funding of Make It Work Inc., a Santa Barbara, Calif.-based neighborhood computer support company. Tech Coast Angel’s funding will enable Make It Work to expand its business model by hiring, training and retaining its team of highly personable and capable technicians; enhancing its customer response center; and improving internal processes and systems.

The deal, which was closed on October 25, 2005, was funded by Tech Coast Angels members in all four of its Southern California networks, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Westlake/Santa Barbara.

Tech Coast Angels members provide seed and early-stage capital in the range of $250,000 to $2 million, an investment range not generally served by venture capital firms. Since 1997, its members have invested over $62 million in nearly 100 Southern California companies, together with $625 million from venture capital co-investors.
