Katten Muchin Rosenman Expands its Financial Services Practice

CHICAGO – Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP continues to grow its Financial Services Practice with the addition of Kenneth M. Rosenzweig as partner. Mr. Rosenzweig comes to the Firm from Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP in Chicago, where he was also partner. In June 2005 the Firm launched its first international office in London to service its expanding financial services client base.

Mr. Rosenzweig, 53, focuses his practice on futures, securities and derivatives. His clients include clearing houses and exchanges, futures commission merchants, broker-dealers, investment advisers, commodity pool operators, commodity trading advisors, banks, pension plans and hedge funds.

Prior to joining Mayer, Brown in 1994, Mr. Rosenzweig was a partner at Schiff Hardin & Waite. From 1978-1987, he served in several positions with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in Washington, D.C., including associate director of the Division of Trading and Markets and as Special Master in Commodity Futures Trading Commission v. Stotler Funds, Inc., U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Since 2000, he has also served as co-chair for the Subcommittee on State Law, American Bar Association, Committee on Regulation of Futures and Derivative Instruments, and is a member of the Probable Cause Committee of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He received his B.A. from Northwestern University and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
