Technology
The Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP Technology Practice represents both technology companies and large corporate users of technology. Along with the Firm's Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions Practices, we represent software, e-commerce, electronics and other technology-based companies and consulting firms at every stage--from startup and initial funding rounds to strategic growth through acquisitions and public offerings. While we are highly experienced in all the intellectual property protection issues facing technology companies, our Practice is primarily transactional, with extensive experience in strategic partnering arrangements and joint ventures, sophisticated licensing arrangements, technology development transactions and the acquisition of technology and technology companies.
As importantly, our lawyers serve as technology counsel to major corporations in the “procurement” of hardware, software and services, including software consulting and development, and outsourcing. We have particular expertise in representing insurance companies, financial services companies and healthcare organizations in these types of transactions. We also regularly counsel both our technology and corporate clients on internet strategies, privacy concerns and related issues.
