Philip Lang focuses his practice on the representation of public companies, private equity firms and private investors in a variety of mergers and acquisitions transactions, including acquisitions of public and private companies. He has substantial experience representing companies and investors in non-M&A transactions, including equity financings and corporate reorganizations. Mr. Lang also has extensive cross-border transaction experience, having worked on transactions relating to companies in Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, South Africa and Taiwan. Mr. Lang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and speaks conversational Japanese.
Mr. Lang received his BA in molecular and cellular biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice in California.
Prior to joining Katten, Mr. Lang was an associate in the corporate department of O’Melveny & Myers LLP in San Francisco, California.
