Mr. Governale focuses his practice on the formation of private investment partnerships and offshore investment funds.  He advises such funds and their investment managers and handles compliance, trading and related issues.

He is a frequent speaker at hedge fund seminars.  He co-authored the treatise U.S. International Taxation: Practice and Procedure, Warren Gorham & Lamont (1997), and was a contributing author to U.S. International Transfer Pricing, Warren Gorham & Lamont (1994).

He is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar, the American Bar Association and the NYSBA.

Mr. Governale earned his B.S. from New York University (1977) and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (1980).  He is admitted to practice in New York (1981), New Jersey (1989) and before the U.S. District Court, Southern and Eastern District of New York and the U.S. Tax Court (1981).
