Pedro C. Fernandez concentrates his practice on patent prosecution and the preparation of patent applications in the electrical and mechanical engineering fields. As a patent attorney, some of the technologies Mr. Fernandez has worked on relate to consumer electronics, telecommunication systems, computer networks, multi-function copiers, flat-panel displays, medical devices, and business methods.
Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Mr. Fernandez worked for eleven years as an electrical engineer in the fields of defense-related sonar signal processing systems, aircraft turbine engine mounted systems, and automated test equipment.
Mr. Fernandez received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 1982, and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law in 1996. He is also registered to practice as a patent attorney before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
