Patrick M. Smith's practice involves a wide array of litigation, arbitration and mediation, with a focus on financial services litigation, securities litigation, regulatory investigations, complex commercial disputes and internal investigations.
Mr. Smith’s experience with financial services and securities litigation includes arbitrations between broker-dealers and customers, class action and derivative suits alleging violations of federal securities laws, internal investigations, and regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings by the SEC, CFTC and self-regulatory bodies, and at stock, options and futures exchanges.
Mr. Smith received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University in 2003, and his law degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law in 2007. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the Northern District of Illinois.
