On April 7, 2009, New York Financial Services partners Kathleen Moriarty and Peter Shea were present at the New York Stock Exchange as client IndexIQ, a leading developer of index-based alternative investment solutions, rang the opening bell. This marked the launch of the client's first exchange-traded fund, the IQ® Hedge Multi-Strategy Tracker ETF (NYSE Arca: QAI). The new ETF is among the first U.S.-listed hedge fund replication ETFs.
