Partner Steven Eckhaus Quoted in Wall Street Journal on Bank Pay

January 28, 2010

Steven Eckhaus, a partner in the firm’s Financial Services Practice, was quoted in an article in the Wall Street Journal on financial packages being given to bank employees, including new forms of stock, personal loans and higher base salaries. These new benefits have been created in the wake of widespread concern over compensation for bank employees and increased taxes on bonuses. In the article, Mr. Eckhaus says he recently worked on two cases in which banks explored employee loans and expects to see more such inquiries. “You're seeing a lot more flavors of compensation and the way pay is structured,” Mr. Eckhaus says.
