Partner Peter Shea Quoted in Forbes on Growing Number of ETFs

Peter Shea, a partner in the firm’s Financial Services Practice, was quoted in an article in Forbes on the growing number of exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Mr. Shea says exchange-traded vehicles could eventually become as numerous as mutual funds, of which there are currently 8,000. “Anything you can run a quant strategy for you can create an index from. A lot of Modern Portfolio theory is reduced to algorithms, and that means more ETFs,” he says. (“ETFs: Resilient As Ever,” March 30, 2009)
