Partner Milton Wakschlag Quoted in Reuters International Financing Review on Municipal Derivatives

Milton Wakschlag, a partner in the firm’s Public Finance Practice, was quoted in an article in Reuters International Financing Review on rebuilding the municipal derivatives market. The government stimulus package is expected to create opportunities in municipal finance alternatives by allowing them to issue new kinds of tax-advantaged debt. “Another trend that is emerging from market realities and supported by the stimulus bill is public-private partnerships,” Mr. Wakschlag says, adding that a move toward privatizing muni infrastructure might generate new ideas.
