Partner Julie Gottshall Speaks at 2008 Employment Law Conference

Julie Gottshall, a partner in the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice, served as moderator for a panel discussion on advanced issues in retaliation cases in employment discrimination at the Law Bulletin Seminars 2008 Employment Law Conference on October 1. The panel noted that courts are finding a broader definition of “protected activity” and cautioned in-house counsel to take strong, direct action in response to an employee’s work-related actions, not the employee’s filing of a claim.
