Melvin L. Katten

Melvin L. Katten was a Founding Partner of the law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, Chicago, Illinois and presently serves as Senior Counsel. His legal practice includes tax and financial structure and counseling, corporate mergers and acquisitions, real estate and business ventures, as well as federal tax and criminal investigations.

He is a member of the National Commission of the Anti-Defamation League and a former chairman of the Chicago Regional Board. He also currently serves as the Sr. Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Roosevelt University, Chairman of the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, director of the National Board of American Friends of Tel Aviv University; member of the Executive Board of the Better Government Association and previously served as its President. He is also a director of Chicago Loop Alliance. He serves as President of the Pamela B. Katten Memorial Leukemia Research Foundation.

Mr. Katten earned his Juris Doctor degree at The John Marshall Law School after graduating from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. He is a CPA.

Honors received include University of Illinois College of Business Distinguished Alum 2009; ADL Career Achievement 1998; Community Assistance for Secondary Education-Israel Man of Year 1986.
