Qualifications and Career Profile
Lisa K. Shebar focuses on intellectual property and complex litigation matters. Prior to rejoining the firm, Ms. Shebar served as Senior Counsel in the Marketing Practices Department of Sears, Roebuck and Co., where she handled a wide variety of transactional and adversarial intellectual property matters, oversaw a portfolio of more than 1000 trademarks, and engaged extensively in client counseling. Ms. Shebar continues to concentrate her practice on trademark and related matters.
Associations and Committees
Ms. Shebar is a member of the State Bar of Illinois and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the International Trademark Association, the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the International Property Owners Association.
Education
Ms. Shebar received her Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in Mathematics and Economics from Wheaton College in 1990 and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1993.
