Laura Keidan Martin Named One Of Law Bulletin Publishing's "40 Under Forty Attorneys To Watch"

CHICAGO – Laura Keidan Martin, a partner at Katten Muchin Zavis Rosenman specializing in health care and antitrust, was named to Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s "40 Under Forty" list for Illinois.
"Laura embodies not only the skills, but the passion and ambition that make an outstanding attorney. Editors at Law Bulletin Publishing reviewed over 1,100 nominations for the "40 Under Forty" list, considering the nominees’ career achievements, including successful verdicts and settlements, as well as how far the nominees have risen in their fields. Finally, the contribution the lawyers have made to their communities is considered as well. This is the fifth consecutive year for the publication.
Ms. Martin’s broad-based health care practice includes mergers and acquisitions, physician integration strategies, provider joint ventures and regulatory compliance. She has counseled hospitals, health care management companies, managed care entities, venture capital firms and a variety of other health care clients. She also has helped insurance company clients develop litigation strategies to combat health care fraud, with other areas of significant experience including fair housing and provider credentialing. In addition, Ms. Martin has extensive experience representing health care and non-health care clients in antitrust matters, particularly merger investigations. She was recently named chairperson of the Chicago Bar Association’s Antitrust Section.
Ms. Martin received her B.A. with High Distinction in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1986, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School, cum laude, in 1989.
