Kevin M. Baum concentrates his practice in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters. Mr. Baum represents secured lenders and other creditors in transactional and litigation matters concerning bankruptcy and insolvency law.

Mr. Baum is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), where he is a member of the Editorial Board of Volo, the ABI’s Circuit Court Opinion First Responder. He is also a member of the International Association of Insolvency, Restructuring and Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL), the American Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association. Mr. Baum was also an adjunct professor at St. John’s University School of Law, where he co-taught Introduction to Bankruptcy Practice: Case Analysis.

Mr. Baum received his BS in mathematics from Stony Brook University; his MSED in secondary education — mathematics, with honors, from Queens College; his JD, with Dean’s List Honors, from St. John’s University School of Law, where he served as an articles editor for the St. John’s Law Review; and his LLM in Bankruptcy from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was ranked second in his graduating class. While attending St. John’s, Mr. Baum contributed to two Supreme Court Amicus Briefs in the cases of United Student Aid Funds v. Espinsoa and Stern v. Marshall. He is admitted to practice in New York and before the US District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
