Kenneth M. Rosenzweig focuses his practice on financial services matters, with an emphasis on the trading and clearing of financial instruments. Mr. Rosenzweig’s clients include clearing houses and exchanges, futures commission merchants, broker-dealers, fund sponsors and managers, banks and other commercial participants in the exchange-traded and over-the-counter markets.

Mr. Rosenzweig was formerly an Associate Director in the CFTC's Division of Trading and Markets and the CFTC's Liaison to the National Futures Association. His responsibilities at the CFTC included review of the first inter-market linkage and clearinghouse cross-margining programs, as well as the preparation of the CFTC's report on exchanges of futures for physicals.

Mr. Rosenzweig is the author and co-author of numerous publications, including: SEC Approves Credit Default Swap Exemptions (Derivatives Financial Products Report April 2009); An Introduction to Portfolio Margining (Futures and Derivatives Law Report December 2006); Over-the-Counter and Exchange-Traded Transactions Effected by Foreign Banks, Brokers and Dealers With U.S. Customers and Counterparties (Futures and Derivatives Law Report January 2005); Freedom to Clear: An Alternative Approach (FIA Outlook November 2002); The Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 (Journal of Investment Compliance Spring 2001); The Effect of U.S. Insolvency Laws on Commodity Brokers (Futures and Derivatives Law Report June 1999); The Use of Derivatives by Public Companies: Disclosure and Supervision in the United States (Journal of International Banking Law January 1995); and Swap Documentation (Managed Futures Association Journal December 1994).

Mr. Rosenzweig is Vice Chair of the American Bar Association's Committee on Regulation of Futures and Derivative Instruments, has served multiple terms as a member of the Executive Committee of the Law and Compliance Division of the Futures Industry Association and is a member of the Board of Editors of Futures and Derivatives Law Report. Mr. Rosenzweig is a past member of the Business Conduct and Probable Cause Committees of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Chicago Board of Trade and past chairman of the Chicago Bar Association’s Committee on Futures and Derivatives Law. Mr. Rosenzweig has been listed in Illinois Super Lawyers (2006–2012), Super Lawyers Business Edition (2011) and the 2008–2012 editions of The Best Lawyers in America. In addition, he has an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Rosenzweig earned his B.A. from Northwestern University (1973) and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (1978). He is admitted to practice in Illinois. Prior to joining Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, Mr. Rosenzweig was a partner at Mayer Brown and Schiff Hardin & Waite.
