Katten’s Gregory K. Brown and Steven G. Eckhaus Named Among Top 20 Attorneys in the Nation for Employee Benefits and ERISA by Lawdragon

CHICAGO – Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is pleased to announce that partners Gregory K. Brown and Steven G. Eckhaus have been recognized among the nation’s 20 leading attorneys for employee benefits and ERISA by Lawdragon. Mr. Brown is based in Chicago and co-chairs Katten’s ERISA Litigation Practice, while New York-based Mr. Eckhaus chairs the firm’s Executive Employment Practice. Gregory K. Brown
Mr. Brown’s practice emphasizes employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), ERISA fiduciary matters, tax-qualified retirement plans, executive compensation and ERISA litigation. As ERISA litigation has become more prevalent over the past two decades, he has worked closely with fellow employee benefits and litigation attorneys on these matters. He regularly handles cases involving employer securities as a plan investment, fiduciary status, and duties and remedies under ERISA. He also regularly advises clients on minimizing the risk of litigation through plan design, governance and administration.

Steven G. Eckhaus
Mr. Eckhaus is an advisor, negotiator and litigator with over 30 years of experience, concentrating on executive pay, compensation and employment law in the financial services, scientific, consumer and nonprofit sectors. He represents executives as well as compensation committees, and with an increasing emphasis on private equity and hedge fund matters. Mr. Eckhaus was a contributing expert to the World Justice Project in the area of employment law, and he is listed in the World Justice Project’s Rule of Law Index 2011.
