Katten Adds Litigation Partner Eric Gortner in Chicago Office

CHICAGO – Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is pleased to announce that Eric T. Gortner has joined the firm as a Chicago-based partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. Mr. Gortner focuses his practice on complex health care litigation. Before joining Katten, he was a partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
Mr. Gortner has wide-ranging experience in both federal and state courts across the country, representing health care, pharmaceutical and other companies involved in False Claims Act
qui tam litigation. He also has extensive experience in large-scale commercial litigation, including securities fraud and financial services litigation, as well as mass tort litigation.
Mr. Gortner earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, his Ph.D. from the University of Washington and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
