LOS ANGELES – Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is pleased to announce that D. Stephen Antion has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the Corporate Practice. Prior to joining Katten, Mr. Antion served as president of Ridgestone Corporation, a private investment company. Prior to his tenure with Ridgestone, he was a partner in the Los Angeles office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where he co-chaired the Middle Market Practice Group.

Mr. Antion’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities law, executive compensation, private equity and family offices. He has represented a number of companies and investors in a wide range of matters, including investments, acquisitions and dispositions, and has served as outside general counsel to a number of public and private companies. Mr. Antion has represented clients in a broad range of industries, including software, electronics, distribution, finance, retail, automotive components, biotechnology, consumer products and aerospace.

At Ridgestone, Mr. Antion sourced, structured and monitored private equity and real estate investments. He was also responsible for asset allocation, manager selection and performance review of Ridgestone’s passive investments.

Mr. Antion has served on the boards of both public and private companies. He regularly speaks on topics related to hedge funds, private equity, venture capital and private family offices. He is also a regular guest lecturer for the Entrepreneurship and Venture class at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.

Mr. Antion earned his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley.
