Joyce S. Jun handles film and television production and distribution, animation, entertainment financing, licensing, merchandising, video games, counseling and representing international and domestic clients. Her principal clients are international animation studios, film production companies, television networks, film distributors, producers and directors, ad agencies, electronics and communications companies. Between 1993 to 1997 Ms. Jun was at the law firm of Loeb & Loeb, where she became a partner in the Entertainment department and during that time opened and managed the firm’s Japan office developing a wide range of entertainment businesses.
Ms. Jun is recognized as one of the most active attorneys in the field of motion picture, animation, video games, licensing and merchandising. In the area of the international motion picture business, Ms. Jun has represented companies throughout the United States, Asia and Europe in connection with their acquisition, financing, and distribution of motion pictures and television properties. She frequently teams up with corporate and intellectual property attorneys to structure leading edge deals in the entertainment and multimedia areas. Ms. Jun splits her time between Tokyo and Los Angeles. She speaks fluent Japanese.
Ms. Jun received her BA in English literature from the University of California at Los Angeles, and her JD from the University of California at Los Angeles. She is admitted to practice in California.
