Josh Stadtler concentrates his practice in federal environmental litigation and regulatory matters, with a particular emphasis on the Clean Air Act. He also practices general commercial litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Stadtler served as a law clerk to the Honorable Peter J. Busch in the Law & Motion Department of the San Francisco Superior Court.

Mr. Stadtler earned his Bachelor of Arts in English, cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2002.

Mr. Stadtler received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2010, where he was senior production editor and a member of the Board of Editors for Hastings Law Journal, and competed in the national products liability competition for the Hastings Moot Court Team. He also earned the Witkin and CALI Awards for Academic Excellence in Advanced Business Law Seminar, Business Associations, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts and Negotiation & Settlement, and was named to the Thurston Honors Society.

While in law school, Mr. Stadtler served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Joseph Spero (2010) and the Honorable Susan Illston (2008) of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and as clerk to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office (2009) as part of the Hastings Criminal Practice Clinic.

Mr. Stadtler is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He is a member of the Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice and Environment, Energy & Resources Sections of the American Bar Association, the Environmental Law Section of the State Bar of California, and the Environmental Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
