Joseph F. Fiorill concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on disputes over real property.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Fiorill was an associate in the Real Estate Department at Ballard Spahr LLP. Earlier, he served as a law clerk to the senior judges of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. Before taking up the practice of law, Mr. Fiorill was a journalist with National Journal Group, covering international affairs and homeland security.
Mr. Fiorill holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was editor in chief of The Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law and a Global Law Scholar. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in French from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and English, magna cum laude, from Dickinson College, where he was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa. He is fluent in French.
Mr. Fiorill was admitted to the bar of Maryland in 2009 and the bar of the District of Columbia in 2010. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and the Associate Advisory Council for the National Law Center on Homelessness & Poverty.
