Qualifications and Career Profile
John David Semones is an associate in the firm’s Financial Services and Real Estate Practices. Mr. Semones concentrates his practice in representing banks, hedge funds and other financial institutions in the negotiation of the LSTA documentation framework and with the acquisition and disposition of distressed assets related to secondary loan trading markets. He also has significant experience representing a diverse array of financial services companies in the origination and defeasance of real estate capital markets loans.
Education and Bar Admissions
Mr. Semones earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Davidson College in 1995 and his Master of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida in 2003. In 2006, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree, with a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law, from Lewis and Clark Law School. Mr. Semones is admitted to practice in North Carolina.
