Jared T. Heck concentrates his practice in litigation matters, including health care fraud, False Claims Act litigation and other complex commercial disputes. He has considerable experience with all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, motion practice, discovery and trial preparation.
Mr. Heck earned his Bachelor's degree in Russian history, with Honors, from the University of Chicago and his Juris Doctor,
magna cum laude, from Cornell Law School, where he was selected to the Order of the Coif.
While in law school, Mr. Heck served as Admissions Editor of the
Cornell Law Review and as a teaching assistant in the legal writing program. He also spent one semester as an extern for the City of Chicago’s Department of Law, where he prosecuted violations in traffic court. Also during law school, Mr. Heck received CALI Excellence Awards in both Employment Law and Conflict of Laws.
Mr. Heck is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
In addition to his daily responsibilities, Mr. Heck is actively involved with the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago, where he serves on the Executive Committee of the Young Professionals Board.
Recently, Mr. Heck was named a "Rising Star" by
Illinois Super Lawyers in 2011 and 2012, a distinction given to less than three percent of the attorneys in Illinois by
Law & Politics magazine.
