Irrevocable Acceptance: A New Case Sheds Doubt on a Sure Thing

Aircraft manufacturers and sellers of used aircraft typically require buyers to sign an acceptance certificate at the time of delivery of the aircraft. A recent Court of Appeals decision calls into question whether language stating that acceptance is irrevocable conflicts with the buyer's right to revoke acceptance as provided for in the Uniform Commercial Code.
