Gregory P. L. Pierce concentrates his practice in commercial real estate law and general business transactions. In his 25 years of practice, he has worked extensively on (i) financings and workouts, representing both lenders and borrowers, in real estate and asset based financings, for multiple types of properties and loans, including establishing lending form documents; (ii) acquisitions and dispositions of real estate representing sellers and purchasers; (iii) sale/leaseback transactions for long term strategic facilities; (iv) real estate developments, including preparing and negotiating architectural, construction and development agreements for major developments as well as developing forms of such agreements for clients’ use throughout the country; and (v) the formation, management and liquidation of joint ventures, partnerships, limited liability companies, funds and other entities generally related to real estate transactions.
Mr. Pierce is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers since 1998. Mr. Pierce is a former Chair (1995–1999) and Vice-Chair (1992–1995) of the Partnerships, Joint Ventures and Other Investment Vehicles Association Committee of the Real Property Section of the American Bar Association. He is also is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Legal Club of Chicago, and Lambda Alpha International. Mr. Pierce has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America (2003–2012) as well as Illinois Super Lawyers (2005–2012).
Mr. Pierce received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 1980. In 1984, he received joint degrees, a Juris Doctor degree and a Master of Business Administration degree, from the University of Illinois.
