Freedom to Contract?

In a case involving a contracted oncology group at a Chicago-area hospital, the Second District Appellate Court of Illinois ruled in favor of the hospital and its right to refuse service from one of the group's doctors. This article reviews the case and analyzes the limitations of a contractor's freedom to determine who its service provider can and cannot employ.
