Denise Burn devotes her practice to the representation of major financial institutions in the structuring, negotiation, documentation and workout of secured and unsecured, single bank and syndicated cash flow and asset based financing transactions in a wide variety of industry segments. Ms. Burn has had significant experience with senior, mezzanine first lien/second lien and hybrid lending products in connection with merger, acquisition, recapitalization and other complex financings and is adept at handling the various collateral, intercreditor and subordination issues arising in the context of those transactions. She is listed in the 2011 and 2012 editions of The Best Lawyers in America.

A native of the United Kingdom, Ms. Burn received her London University Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in English Literature in 1972. After moving to Chicago, Ms. Burn received her Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University in 1984 where she was an Editor on the Journal of International Law and Business. Prior to joining Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, she practiced with Sidley & Austin for ten years in the Finance Department of its Chicago office. Ms. Burn is admitted to practice in Illinois.
