David R. Shevitz concentrates his practice in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions and has consumated over 600 such transactions for the firm’s clients. In addition, he has counseled numerous public companies in connection with their initial public offerings, subsequent financing activities, corporate governance and compensation matters.
Mr. Shevitz has lectured and written in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation, corporate planning, capital formation and securities law matters.
Mr. Shevitz is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the American Bar Association and has served as chairperson of various committees and subcommittees of those organizations. He has also has been listed in Illinois Super Lawyers (2006–2012) and The Best Lawyers in America (2011–2012).
Mr. Shevitz received his Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in 1963 from Kenyon College at Gambier, Ohio and earned his Juris Doctor degree with Honors in 1966 from the University of Michigan Law School.
