David J. Gonen concentrates his practice in antitrust, intellectual property, and litigation.

Mr. Gonen’s antitrust experience includes work on individual and class action litigations involving price fixing, bid rigging, wage fixing, monopolization, and exclusive dealing, as well as counseling clients regarding tying, resale price maintenance, and other practices. His intellectual property experience includes work on copyright, patent, and trademark litigation and counseling matters. He also participated in a pro bono federal civil rights jury trial and served as an associate trustee for the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1997. From 1997 to 2002 he worked in a molecular biology laboratory at the University of Chicago, where he performed genetic mapping studies of neuropsychiatric disorders and was a co-author on numerous published research papers.

Mr. Gonen obtained his Juris Doctor degree with High Honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2005. During law school he was an executive articles editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review, was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, and served as a judicial extern to United States Magistrate Judge Morton Denlow of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Mr. Gonen is admitted to practice in Illinois and the District of Columbia.
