Christopher Stiner concentrates his practice on insolvency matters, creditors’ rights and general business litigation.

Prior to joining Katten, Mr. Stiner served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas B. Donovan of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California. Mr. Stiner previously was an associate in the Global Leveraged Finance Group of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP in New York, where he worked on private loans, private placements of bonds in 144A transactions and the issuances of equity securities.

Mr. Stiner received his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law in 2007. He received his Bachelor of Arts in international relations and history, cum laude, from Tufts University in 2000, and his Master of International Affairs from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in 2007. Mr. Stiner is fluent in German and conversational in French and Arabic.

Mr. Stiner is admitted to practice in California and New York. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the New York State Bar Association.
