Charles M. Stern's litigation practice has included major matters in the areas of antitrust, patent, trademark and copyright, medical technology licensing, business torts, professional sports franchises, real estate and construction, bankruptcy, motion pictures and television, insurance and employment. He has acted as lead counsel in representing clients at both the trial and appellate levels.
For many years, he has been a panelist and instructor for the California Continuing Education of the Bar and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the Board of Directors of The Opera League of Los Angeles. Mr. Stern was listed as a Southern California Super Lawyer in Business Litigation in Los Angeles Magazine and Southern California Super Lawyers Magazine from 2005 to 2010.
Mr. Stern received his A.B. degree magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1965, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and received his LL.B. degree from the Harvard Law School in 1968. He was a Teaching Fellow at the Case-Western Reserve Law School in Cleveland, Ohio for the academic year 1969-70.
