Mr. Chejfec's practice focuses on white collar criminal defense and healthcare fraud. He also has substantial experience in commercial litigation matters and intellectual property disputes involving trademark, tradedress, copyright, and trade secrets. Mr. Chejfec has tried numerous cases as a municipal prosecutor, criminal defense lawyer, and civil trial lawyer.
Before entering private practice, Mr. Chejfec served one year as a judicial law clerk to Nevada Supreme Court Justice C. Clifton Young. The following year, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Charles R. Norgle, Sr., United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Chejfec attended The John Marshall Law School where he won a moot court national championship and served as an editorial board member of the John Marshall Journal of Computer and Information Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin.
Mr. Chejfec is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. Trial Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, 7th Circuit, and the Central and Northern Districts of Illinois. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the American Inns of Court.
