CFTC Proposes Significant Relief With Respect To Bunched Orders
March 18, 2003
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has proposed a rule amendment designed to significantly alleviate the burdens and restrictions currently imposed with respect to the bunching of customer orders by account managers. The proposed rule amendment seeks to liberalize the current rule by (i) expanding the availability of bunching, (ii) simplifying the bunching process (e.g., eliminating certification and audit requirements), and (iii) clarifying the respective responsibilities of account managers and futures commission merchants.
