Cathleen A. Booth focuses her practice on private investment funds. Ms. Booth has significant experience representing fund sponsors in the formation and management of private equity and real estate funds. She also represents institutional investors and high net worth individuals in connection with their investments in private investment funds, including review of appropriate fund documentation and negotiation of side letters. Ms. Booth’s investment fund clients include public pension funds, private equity groups, real estate firms, family offices and high net worth individuals.
In addition to her investment fund practice, Ms. Booth represents clients in private placements, minority investments and co-investments, joint ventures, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) transactions and general corporate matters.
Ms. Booth is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. She serves as a member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee. Ms. Booth also is active in civic and charitable organizations.
Ms. Booth earned her Bachelor of Science from Ohio Northern University, with high distinction, in 1996. She received her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2000, where she served as editor in chief of the University of Toledo Law Review.
