Training

Training is essential at this stage of a law student's career.  We provide the most comprehensive training possible to help you become a skilled attorney.  The Washington, D.C. Summer Associate program is open primarily to second-year law students.  Here’s a sample of the training you can expect to receive.

  • Summer Associates have the opportunity to work in each of our practice areas on a broad spectrum of assignments and to focus on areas that may be of particular interest.
  • Summer Associates are assigned two mentors - one partner and one associate - to whom they are encouraged to turn for guidance throughout the summer and with any questions, regarding the Firm and its professional expectations and requirements.
  • Feedback is given to each Summer Associate through "mid-summer" and "exit" reviews.
  • Summer Associates have the option of participating in pro bono assignments as well as billable client assignments.
