Cara A. Roecker concentrates her practice in litigation matters, including anti-fraud issues, white collar criminal and civil litigation, and financial services litigation and investigations. She also counsels insurers on best claims handling practices and litigation strategies designed to attack internal and external fraud. Ms. Roecker has been involved in complex health care fraud cases and has successfully argued issues of significant public interest before the Illinois Court of Appeals on multiple occasions.
Ms. Roecker earned her B.A. from Berea College in 2000 and her J.D., summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2005. She was also a member of the University of Toledo Law Review and co-author of the "Ohio Collateral Consequences Project," (36 U. Tol. Rev. 611, Spring 2005), an analysis of the collateral consequences to a criminal conviction in Ohio statutory and administrative law. She also interned for Federal District Judge James Carr (N.D. of Ohio). Ms. Roecker is admitted to practice in Illinois (2005).
