Brian D. Huben concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, representation of creditors in bankruptcy, and retail shopping center owners, managers and developers in state and federal courts. He received his juris doctor from Loyola Law School Los Angeles in 1987, and his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in 1984 from Loyola Marymount University.

Mr. Huben is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Supreme Court, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, all United States District Courts in the State of California, and the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.

As a member of the State Bar of California, Mr. Huben served as a Special Master for the State Bar in Los Angeles County from 1995 to 1999. As a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Mr. Huben served as the Chair to the county bar’s delegation to the State Bar Conference of Delegates in 1999, on the Litigation Section’s Executive Committee from 1997 to 2000, and as a member of the Association’s Board of Trustees from 2000 to 2002, as well as a second two year term which commenced in June 2007. Mr. Huben has also served as Chair for the Association's Legislation Committee since 2001.

Mr. Huben was the legal member of the Torrance Memorial Medical Center Institutional Review Board from 1990 to 1995, and served as President of the Loyola Marymount University National Alumni Association from 1999 to 2000. Mr. Huben served on the Board of Trustees of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Education Foundation from 2004 to 2006.

In 2005, Mr. Huben was elected to the law committee for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and also became a contributing editor to their quarterly publication Shopping Center Legal Update. In 2008, he was appointed to ICSC's Bankruptcy Task Force.
