Breighanne A. Eggert

Breighanne A. Eggert, an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice, concentrates her practice on resolving intellectual property disputes, including litigation involving copyright, trademark, trade dress and patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation and other unfair competition claims. Ms. Eggert also handles matters in, and has argued before, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. In addition, she devotes time to pro bono litigation matters.

Ms. Eggert contributed to the 2007 supplement to a chapter on trademark protection that appeared in the treatise Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel, published by West Group. In addition, she is the author of "Community-based Efforts at Reducing America's Childhood Obesity Epidemic: Federal Lawmakers Must Weigh In" 55 DePaul L. Rev. 711 (2006). She is a member of the American Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Ms. Eggert has been listed as an Illinois Rising Star in Illinois Super Lawyers (2009-2010).

Ms. Eggert earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University, magna cum laude, in 2003 and her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law in 2006, where she was an editor for the DePaul Law Review. She is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
