Bonita L. Stone’s practice has concentrated extensively in complex litigation, with an emphasis in unfair competition, securities, consumer fraud and transactional disputes.  Ms. Stone has handled class action and derivative suits and a multitude of injunctive and other equitable relief procedures.  Ms. Stone also has significant experience in a variety of employment-related type claims, including misappropriation of trade secrets, corporate raiding, breach of fiduciary duty and violation of covenants not to compete involving a variety of different industries.  Ms. Stone has represented both small and large corporations in federal and state courts and in arbitration, companies such as Fruit of the Loom, Inc., Panasonic, MCA, Inc., Salomon Brothers, PLATINUM technology, inc., Zale Corporation, Household Finance Company and Zebra Technology Company.

Ms. Stone graduated from Northwestern University with a Juris Doctorate, cum laude.  Ms. Stone was a member of the Northwestern Criminal Journal.  She is a member of the bars of the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Sixth, Seventh and Ninth Circuits, the Federal Trial Bar and the U.S. District Courts for the Central District of Illinois and Northern District of Illinois.  Ms. Stone is also the former chair of the State Law Subcommittee of the ABA’s Class Action and Derivative Suit Committee.
