Arthur W. Hahn

Arthur Hahn is a member of the firm's Executive Committee and national head of the Financial Services Practice.

Mr. Hahn has a multifaceted practice, including:

• representation of major international banks and brokerage firms in connection with their cash and derivatives products, including interfacing with exchanges, regulatory compliance, principal trading and sales practices issues, litigation and enforcement matters;
• representation of international equity and commodity exchanges and clearing houses in connection with their business structuring, trading rules, technology initiatives, cross-border SEC and CFTC licenses and international insolvency issues; and
• representation of technology companies in connection with business strategies, capital formation and mergers and acquisitions.

A certified mediator, Mr. Hahn focuses on resolving disputes involving financial instruments and markets.

Currently, Mr. Hahn serves on the following professional and civic boards and committees:

Mr. Hahn lectures and writes frequently on subjects relating to financial services. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for over 20 years (1991–2013). He was named to the Panel of Recognised International Market Experts in Finance (PRIME).

He attended the London School of Economics and Political Science. Mr. Hahn earned his JD from Northwestern University School of Law. He served on the legislative staff of US Senator Paul H. Douglas and clerked on the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
