Amy M. Harvey practices corporate law in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Harvey’s practice includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, securities law compliance and corporate governance matters. She represents both buyers and sellers in structuring, negotiating and documenting transactions, including stock purchases, asset purchases, tax-free mergers and leveraged buyouts. She also represents private equity funds making investments in portfolio companies and in the liquidation of those investments. Ms. Harvey has represented clients in a wide array of industries, including banking and financial services, bio-technology, communications, energy and mining. In addition to her transactional work, she also provides clients with a broad range of general corporate counseling services.
Ms. Harvey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in business and economics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1990 and her Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from The George Washington University Law School in 1997. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia.
