Accommodating Struggling Borrowers: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

As more and more borrowers are unable to meet payment and other obligations under their loan agreements, lenders are faced with the difficult choice of noticing a default or attempting to accommodate their struggling borrowers. This article discusses some recent cases which demonstrate ways in which lenders can protect their rights while accommodating distressed borrowers.
