Diversity
Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is dedicated to the achievement and promotion of diversity within the Firm as well as within the broader legal community. Consistent with our founding principles of client service and legal innovation, diversity is one of the core values by which we do business every day. We actively support and promote diversity within our workplace by attracting, retaining, nurturing and advancing the individuality, talent, growth and success of each of our attorneys.
Katten is dedicated to increasing the participation and fostering the leadership of women and minorities within our Firm, as well as in the legal profession overall. We work hard to engage diverse individuals at all levels of our Firm, including participation on the Board of Directors and Executive Committees, in Managing Partner positions and as Department and Practice Group Chairs. At the associate level, we sponsor various associate driven diversity initiatives, organizations, conferences and seminars focused on career and business development in order to fully support the activities and needs of our women and minority attorneys.
In 2003, the Firm created a Diversity Committee comprised of eighteen partners representing each of the Firm’s five major offices, including the National Managing Partner and the managing partner from each office. The Diversity Committee is co-chaired by partners Leslie Minier and Theresa Davis. The co-chairs of the Committee meet frequently with the National Managing Partner and members of the Executive Committee to discuss programming and initiatives to foster the development, advancement and retention of our minority attorneys. The Committee meets quarterly to discuss strategic planning, programs and initiatives. Committee members include:
Chicago: Leslie Minier - Chief Diversity Officer, Janet Angstadt, Theresa Davis, Tara Kamradt, David Kistenbroker, Nina Matis and Vincent Sergi Los Angeles: Steve Cochran, Susan Grode and Gail Migdal Title New York: Kathleen Moriarty, Anthony Paccione and Josh Rubenstein Washington, D.C.: Virginia Davis, Roger Furey and Eric Kuwana Charlotte: Daniel Huffenus
