Partner Brian Sodikoff will moderate a panel at the DePaul University College of Law’s Annual Health Law Symposium – The Changing Landscape of Pharmaceutical Law & Business at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4. Health law, intellectual property and business interests will be represented in panel discussions of the current problems in the business of pharmaceutical law, what is being done to remedy these issues and the roles of attorneys and business professionals. An ethics discussion will follow. Topics will include:

  • How to strategically advise clients and companies on dealing with the new aspects of drug development and the likely changes in the pharmaceutical field in the next 10 years.
  • The evolution of the field and the current landscape of the pharmaceutical business. Panelists will discuss the way business has been conducted for the past 15 to 20 years and the recent significant changes, such as in the areas of generics and research and development.
  • How to best set up clients and businesses to handle these changes and position themselves appropriately for the future. Panelists will also address trends for the upcoming years and anticipated changes.
