A California federal judge sided with Lance Armstrong in a lawsuit claiming his autobiographies should have been labeled fiction. Readers of Armstrong’s It’s Not About the Bike and Every Second Counts were seeking class-action status in California, claiming that lies about not using performance-enhancing drugs amounted to fraud and false advertising. US District Judge Morrison England agreed with Armstrong’s attorneys and rejected the claims, ruling the books are free speech protected by the First Amendment. Zia Modabber, Greg Korman, Johanna Bloomfield and Andy Demko represented Armstrong in this matter.
